Ralph Adams

Ralph Adams is a founding partner at Adams & Clark, PC.  Ralph has been practicing law for twenty years, and focuses on advising and representing attorneys, judges and certified legal document preparers.

Ralph began his legal ethics career in 1989, when he became Staff Counsel with the Utah State Bar; he was later promoted to Senior Staff Counsel. Ralph prosecuted attorneys for ethics violations and gained significant insight in attorneys’ ethical responsibilities and the attorney discipline process. Ralph later joined the Office of the Attorney General in Utah, in the litigation division.

After representing various state entities for several years and gaining considerable trial skills, Ralph relocated to Arizona and accepted a position as Staff Bar Counsel for the State Bar of Arizona, prosecuting attorneys for ethics violations.  He was thereafter promoted to Senior Bar Counsel, supervising junior bar counsel.

Ralph served the Arizona State Bar for seven years; he left in 2001 to open his own law practice, focused on attorney discipline defense.  Today he is a partner in the law firm of Adams & Clark, PC.

In late 2002 the Supreme Court of Arizona adopted a rule change allowing the certification of legal document preparers. Since then, Ralph has represented numerous applicants seeking certification, and defended certified legal document preparers charged with misconduct.

Ralph taught in various paralegal schools for over twelve years. He is a frequent lecturer on legal ethics and professional responsibility before numerous organizations, associations, and committees.  He is a member of the Utah State Bar (currently inactive status), the State Bar of Hawaii (currently inactive status) and the State Bar of Arizona.
